Why work for ULaw?
We are seeking to recruit an ambitious individual who wants to forge or continue a meaningful career in teaching and course design in Higher Education. You may or may not have previous experience of teaching and course design, but what is important to us is that you have the drive and enthusiasm to learn.
Teaching in Higher Education can be challenging but rewarding and we are looking to recruit a highly motivated individual who is ready to make a positive contribution. You will be keen to share your expertise and to become involved in all aspects of enhancing the student experience at our Bloomsbury campus, including teaching on our LPC, GDL, MA, LLB, BPTC and/or Masters programmes. We would particularly welcome applications from candidates with a background or interest in Crime and/or Corporate Law.
Are you ready to join our dynamic team and help contribute to our success?
Who are we?
The University of Law (ULaw) is one of the world's largest law schools. With an impressive history going back to 1876, we employ c750 staff and have over 9000 students studying on our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. ULaw has an outstanding reputation as a full service legal and educational training specialist, operating from thirteen campuses throughout the UK, as well as in Hong Kong and Berlin, with additional global reach through online and face to face provision. We have recently been ranked number one for undergraduate law degree acceptances by UCAS.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking to recruit a visiting lecturer - either a qualified solicitor or barrister who can demonstrate successful legal practice experience to teach on our academic and vocational courses, or, if you are not a qualified solicitor or barrister but have experience of teaching law in Higher or Further Education, we would still like to hear from you in respect of our academic courses.
Early applications are encouraged - interviews and appointments will held on a rolling basis from the time of advertising.
If you would like to arrange an informal discussion prior to application, please contact Sarah Corbett - phone 01483 216535 or email [email protected]
No agencies please.
Some posts within the University are subject to a DBS check - you will be notified of this during the application process.
As an equal opportunities employer, we welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons. However, as Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) individuals are currently under-represented within the University - which does not reflect our diverse student body - we would particularly welcome applications from BAME candidates. All appointments will be made on merit.
